The work in the Crossroads exhibition responds to an interest in how ideas can converge, intersect and separate. People, place, material and process strongly influence the work Nic Jackson, the wood studio manager at the NC State Crafts Center, makes. Curiosity drives the question, “What can happen when all of these overlap?” Jackson uses wood, photography and painting to look inward at his thoughts, anxieties and struggles as well as look outward at his physical environment.

The exhibition runs through Nov. 2.
