The North Carolina Zoo celebrates nature by being the world’s largest natural habitat zoo for 1,700 animals. Join Wellness and Recreation on wellness day on a trip to explore the zoo, including visiting animals such as bears, wolves, lions, lemurs, zebras, giraffes and so much more. 

This trip includes free admission to the zoo and a meal voucher. The sponsor for this excursion is the North Carolina Zoo Society, a nonprofit that supports the zoo.

To get into the zoo for free and receive the meal voucher, you must complete a registration form for the trip. You can register to ride a bus that will provide transportation to the zoo or complete the form that indicates you will be responsible for your transportation to the zoo. If you choose to be responsible for your transportation to the zoo, please note registration is still required to receive the meal voucher and free admission.
