Are you excited to share your STEM research with the public, but don't know where to start? Studies consistently rank museums among the most publicly trusted sources of STEM information, and they can be great partners as you seek to engage the public in your research.

Join us for this session, where you will hear from several local science centers and museums on ways you can partner with them on STEM outreach. This session will consist of short presentations from several local museums and science centers, followed by Q&A and a chance to speak with each organization individually in small-group breakouts. The participating museums, science centers and collections are:

  • North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences (Raleigh)
  • Marbles Kids Museum (Raleigh)
  • Museum of Life and Science (Durham)
  • Morehead Planetarium and Science Center and NC Science Festival (Chapel Hill)
  • NC State Insect Collection (NC State University)
  • NC State Vascular Plant Herbarium (NC State University)
  • Larry F. Grand Mycological Herbarium (NC State University)
  • The Gregg Museum of Art & Design (NC State University)
  • NC Plant Sciences Initiative and N.C. Cooperative Extension (NC State University)
  • NC State University Libraries

This event is open to all NC State researchers, with registration priority given to graduate students, postdocs, faculty and staff. If you are an undergraduate researcher and would like to attend this session, feel free to apply. You will receive a notification if we can accommodate you.
