Come by the Crafts Center and visit its current photography exhibition, "On Contentious Ground" by Vann Powell. 

Vann holds an MFA from Duke University and works as a documentary artist whose practice revolves around still photography and the moving image. "On Contentious Ground" seeks to visually articulate the lasting effects the American Civil War has had on who we are through shedding light on the lasting impact on individuals, families and landscapes. The images in this show are powerful and invite an intimate experience for the viewer.
