DESCRIPTION:Join us for this all-day event as we celebrate 30 years of Poww
 ow at the Multicultural Student Affairs office. This year's Powwow will inc
 lude workshops\, how-tos\, performances and vendor shops.\n\nPowwows are so
 cial gatherings of hundreds of Native Americans who follow dances started c
 enturies ago by their ancestors and that continually evolve to include cont
 emporary aspects. These events of feasting\, drum music and dance are atten
 ded by Natives and non-Natives\, all of whom join in the dancing and take a
 dvantage of the opportunity to see old friends and teach the traditional wa
 ys to a younger generation.
