Join us for a facilitated conversation about The Cooking Gene: A Journey Through African American Culinary History in the Old South.  In 2018, Michael Twitty, the book's author, won the James Beard Award for Writing and Book of the Year. In the book, Twitty, a  culinary historian, offers his perspective on race as he traces his family history. T'ana Williams, an NC State master of science in communication student and member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., will lead the discussion. We hope you join us.
