Small Island Big Song brings together musicians from across the island nations of the Pacific and Indian Oceans, a region at the frontline of the climate crisis as sea level rise threatens their homelands. These musicians have come together with filmmakers, oceanographers, scientists and poets to create a concert experience that has toured around the world to raise awareness about climate change. During this lunchtime event, co-founders Tim Cole and BaoBao Chen will share the genesis story of Small Island Big Song while sharing their research process and insight into their motivations as artists and storytellers.

Only register for this event if you are sure you can attend. If you're unsure, please do not say you will attend. We need an accurate attendance count for this seminar because we plan to provide lunch for guests.

This event is part of the Office of Undergraduate Research Spring Seminar Series and is presented in partnership with NC State LIVE
