Please join the Social and Behavioral Health Research Group for its third spring lecture of 2023. Lisa Kiang will talk about the various ways Asian Americans experience ethnicity and race. For example, how does ethnic-racial identity promote positive developmental outcomes and protect against stress? What is the role of family, school and peer socialization in fostering ethnic-racial identity and understanding? Kiang will emphasize contextual considerations and ways to support well-being, especially in the face of ethnic-racial discrimination.
