Emily Channell-Justice, director of Harvard University's Temerty Contemporary Ukraine Program, is a sociocultural anthropologist who has been conducting research on the role of the radical left in Ukraine since 2012. She will present research from her book, Without the State: Self-Organization and Political Activism in Ukraine (University of Toronto Press, 2022), which is based on research on political activism and social movements among students and feminists during the 2013-14 Euromaidan mobilizations. She also will discuss the role of self-organization in the context of the ongoing Russo-Ukraine war. Channell-Justice's lecture is titled "Self-Organization in Ukraine: From Euromaidan to Russia’s Invasion."
