The U.S. government funds basic and applied research across many disciplines using multiple funding agencies. You can learn how the government funds basic and applied research by attending a seminar called "Working With DoD Funding Agencies: A Program Officer's Perspective." Ken Caster, a program officer, will present the seminar. Caster's presentation will focus on funding processes used by the Air Force Office of Scientific Research but also will be relevant to other Department of Defense funding agencies, including the Army Research Office and the Office of Naval Research. Faculty members interested in learning about this process are welcome to attend the seminar.
