Understanding how to communicate in different situations, from academic to professional contexts, is an essential skill in one's professional development. In this interactive workshop, graduate students and postdoctoral scholars will practice their speaking skills in the types of conversations expected within and outside of academia, such as during presentations or informal networking. Additionally, we will discuss the best strategies to create effective verbal and nonverbal communication when encountering new communication situations.

Important note: To register for the workshop, please be sure to complete the registration form. You will not be registered if you click “Add to calendar,” since that only adds events to your Google calendar.
