Join this in-person, two-hour interactive workshop to explore the power of visual note-taking and to build your sketchnoting skills. Sketchnoting is visual notetaking. You'll learn what you need to know to start moving from writing lots of words to taking more meaningful and visually compelling notes. During this workshop, you'll learn the basics of sketchnoting and visual notetaking. The workshop will cover:

  • Containers.
  • Connectors.
  • Color.
  • Lettering basics.
  • Layouts.
  • People.
  • Visual vocabulary.
  • Visual hierarchy.
  • Listening.
  • Synthesizing information.

Bring a notebook (unlined and blank pages are best), any favorite pens or fine-tipped markers and a sense of curiosity.

Rachel Thompson, owner and founder of Daring Studios, will lead the workshop. She works at the intersection of strategy and design using virtual collaboration, visual facilitation and human-centered design. Find her online @rachelbedaring.

Food will be provided.
