State of Sound Stories invites individuals and groups to share their personal sound stories — their own creative paths that got them involved with sound — to highlight diverse ways forward for those interested in making sound a bigger part of their lives or careers. Join us for a conversation with andie and Isobel Knight.

andie and Isobel Knight both hail from around Sydney, Australia, and have been friends for nearly a decade. They have taken on the mighty task of independently planning a tour of the United States. They graciously agreed to visit North Carolina on their journey, and we’re elated they're stopping by.

Andie began her musical story by uploading covers of popular songs on YouTube over a decade ago. She’s funded the release of her three studio albums through Kickstarter. Her most recent release, the heat of the moment, is “a collection of songs that were written in the heat of the moment”. You can find andie on Instagram and Bandcamp.

Isobel released her debut album The Nest in 2018, and her sophomore album, Here Now, recorded in New York City in 2021, debuted at No. 5 on the Australian independent album charts. You can also find Isobel on Instagram and Bandcamp.

The conversation will be captured for the State of Sound Stories podcast, coming soon to podcast distributors everywhere.
