Join State of Sound Stories for a conversation with Erika Libero of the band BANGZZ. Libero writes songs, sings and plays guitar for BANGZZ, a garage punk project that also features drummer Jess Caesar of Pink Flag and Dirty Little Heaters. The band's sound has been described as “confrontational femme-punk that weds a Stooges stomp to five-alarm-blaze-yelps” and a “brand of punk noir” that is “all scuzzy irreverent riot girl catharsis.” From the release of the first demo, Fresh Cut in 2019 on Self Aware Records, the duo has opened for bands like Screaming Females and Guerilla Toss and played festivals such as Hopscotch, The Fest, Brickside Music Festival and Manifest.  The band released You Took My Body Long Ago and Now I am Taking it Back, a full-length album, in 2021
