DESCRIPTION:"Meditation With Sun Boxes" is a sound art installation by Crai
 g Colorusso that peacefully nurtures NC State’s public spaces with a mesmer
 izing sound bath experience. The installation will be on display at multipl
 e campus locations\, including the Price Music Center on April 21. If there
  is inclement weather\, "Sun Boxes" will not be on display.\n\n"Sun Boxes" 
 is comprised of 20 speakers operating independently\, each powered by the s
 un via solar panels.  There is a different loop set to play a guitar note i
 n each box continuously. These guitar notes collectively make a Bb chord. B
 ecause the loops are different in length\, once the piece begins\, they con
 tinuously overlap\, and it slowly evolves over time.  The sounds of "Sun Bo
 xes" have been described as both soothing and energizing.
