This Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) program is a partnership between the Counseling Center and the Women’s Center and is open to NC State students who are self-identified survivors of interpersonal violence. Staff from the Counseling Center will lead a therapeutic, trauma-informed event centered on expressive arts. During the event, participants will write short letters of support to a fellow survivor and adhere these to a canvas that they can then paint and decorate. Each participant will gift their piece to another participant in the workshop, with each participant having a piece to take home. All supplies will be provided. Individuals of all genders and identities who have experienced any form of interpersonal violence are welcome to attend.
