The Department of Music and the Raleigh Civic Symphony Association will present NC State's Raleigh Civic Symphony's fall concert, The Other Side of Hungry River: A World Premiere by Tift Merritt. Peter Askim is the symphony director. Merritt will join the symphony to perform the world premiere of her new work, The Other Side of Hungry River. The symphony will also perform an excerpt from Valerie Coleman's Umoja and selections from Georges Bizet's Carmen.

Tickets can be purchased online and at the door. Limited tickets are available. Arrive early at the concert venue if you plan to buy tickets at the door, so you don't miss the start of the concert. Box office lines can be long on the day of the concert. NC State guidelines require face coverings to be worn in all indoor spaces on campus.
