Have you ever wondered what it would be like to teach English in China? Join us for a virtual conversation with Zach Harris, who taught there for four years. After completing NC State's TESOL certificate program in 2017, Harris went to Suzhou, China, where he taught English to primary school students at an after-school training center. In 2019, he was promoted to running the Foreign Teaching Department for the city. Through these experiences, Harris learned a great deal about the new education policies in China. Harris has plenty of stories to tell, such as facing a litany of bureaucratic issues that resulted from COVID-19 shutdowns to border closures.
