On Sept. 11, 2001, the United States experienced a series of terrorist attacks. Those attacks changed the country dramatically and set the stage for a world few could ever have imagined. Carol Nix, director of the NC State Crafts Center, envisioned the memorial service that recently occurred at NC State to commemorate the 20th anniversary of 9/11. This ceremony presented art influenced by this event, including photography by Charles Moretz and The Weight of Hope, a dance piece choreographed by the director of the Dance Program, Tara Mullins. Join Nix and Mullins as they discuss the anniversary of 9/11, the ceremony and how art can help us process and heal.
