Black men are not a monolith. Black masculinity is vast and expansive. Through this art gallery, Black masculinity will be on display in various forms. Through the medium of photography, the Black Male Initiative village members and other members of the NC State community captured what Black masculinity means to them and shared how they want to be seen in the world. Images will be accompanied by a poem that tells the story of each person participating in the exhibition.

Join BMI and the African American Cultural Center for The I AM Gallery: Exploring the Subcultural Experiences of Black Masculinities. The exhibition opening and reception will be Sunday, April 16 at 2 p.m. in the AACC Gallery. The exhibition will remain on display at AACC through Monday, May 8.

Please complete this registration form by April 12 if you plan to attend the exhibition opening and reception.
