About this Event
Add to calendarPlease join the Department of Performing Arts and Technology for the Lunchbox Series, 45-minute virtual conversations with artists and thinkers in the vast world of dance.
How do dance students know and establish boundaries when it comes to touch? How do choreographers and teachers help cultivate collaboration, communication and consent in their own creative processes? Touch is an integral part of teaching and performing dance, therefore, in order to promote safety and agency, practices of consent and personal agency should be cultivated. Join intimacy director, Nicole Perry, for "Consent in Dance." This interactive session is an introduction to working consent, as a way of creating collaborative, healthy, creative spaces for dancers.
The discussion will take place via Zoom. Registration is required. Registrants will receive a Zoom link that will give them access to the discussion.
