The Secondary Risk Society: Risk and Decision-Making in the 21st Century

Join us for a presentation from Christopher L. Cummings, a senior research fellow in NC State's Genetic Engineering and Society Center and an alumnus of the communication, rhetoric and digital media program. Cummings will report on the new theoretical developments that founded Secondary Risk Theory, which explains and predicts how risks are perceived today and provides contemporary examples and new data regarding COVID-19 vaccine responses and anticipated responses for solar radiation management technologies.
