Please join the Department of Athletics, the Counseling Center, Prevention Services, the TRIO Programs, the Black Male Initiative, Poole College of Management, Multicultural Student Affairs and the African American Cultural Center for a conversation about diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. We will kick off Black History Month with an entertaining play and performance called "The Talk," which will stimulate thought, foster dialogue and bridge community.

The Talk features Sonny Kelly, an actor and storyteller who plays over 20 characters and embodies a conversation Kelly had with his young son about race in America. The show, however, is more than a conversation between a man and his son. Kelly uses pieces of history, literature and lived experiences to create a discussion point about the vast range of experiences of people in America.
