Join University Theatre for the first reading of NC State student Kiran Soma's 2023 Creative Artist Award-winning one-act play. What We Grew Up With is set in the United States post 9/11 and follows an immigrant family and their experiences navigating racism, xenophobia and estrangement. A sentimental drama, the play highlights issues that touch aspects of all of our lives and displays the importance of making real progress on inclusion and belonging.
