Experience the beauty of Grayson Highlands during an overnight backpacking trip. You'll have the opportunity to hike along the Appalachian Trail and camp away from the city. This trip is for beginners or anyone who loves to spend a weekend outdoors.

Transportation, most meals, equipment and instruction are included in the cost of the trip, and no prior experience is necessary to participate. Participants are required to attend a pretrip meeting at 7 p.m. Jan. 24.

This moderately strenuous trip will require you to carry a 50-pound backpack over moderate terrain in various weather conditions. Please note the location of the trip may change to accommodate weather conditions.
