Overall was a great time!
I showed up and nothing was there.
It was amazing experience and I loved it
Great! Would definitely go again!
Clear, concise, informative talk. I thought it was very effective and appropriate for that particular audience (mostly students.) The speaker managed to communicate the message very well and I doubt it left many people indifferent. Personally, I would have liked to see him tackle the causes, motivations, and interests behind the climate crisis (i.e. global capitalism and the myth of infinite growth); he tended to talk generally about humans, "human causes", and a rather vague "we", "us". He seemed reluctant to confront the system as a whole and appeared unable or unwilling to imagine, or propose, alternative systems, alternative possible, desirable futures--in other words, his frame of mind seemed to be too entrenched in capitalist perspectives and values which may have limited his ability to 'think outside the box". Overall, though, I repeat that it was a very effective talk and I am very glad that NC State libraries brought us such a distinguished author. The talk was extraordinarily well attended, which I found very inspiring.
I attended the event however prior to the start of the event they would not allow me to enter due maximum attendance capacity. Again, I arrive at the event early and still was unable to enter. Next year, please have the event at a later venue. Thanks.
I was unable to attend.
